South Dakota dairy farmers are desperate for rain as they look toward feeding this fall.

Marv Post, board chairman of South Dakota Dairy Producers tells Brownfield the corn crop is very stressed.

“Especially as far as corn ears develop. You know, what percent of that corn sileage is going to be corn? We need that energy for the cattle.”

Post says farmers will be forced to chop extra acres for corn silage.
