Southwestern Indiana farmer Mark Seib says corn and soybeans are looking good.

“We have corn that has completed pollination—we pulled ears and they’re full to the end, so the corn is looking extremely good,” he says. “We looked at our soybeans and we have little insect damage and very little fungus. The plant is very healthy, and we have a lot of pods coming on and pods that are already there.”

He says timely rains will be important to finish off the season.

“We still need rain,” he says.
