House Ag Committee Member Don Bacon says expanding global trade markets for ag producers is one of his priorities in the next farm bill. “Trade is always at the top of our agenda. America can out produce anybody,” Bacon says. “It’s our competitive advantage when it comes to corn, soybeans, beef and pork and all those mass production crops and protein products.”
The Republican from Nebraska tells Brownfield he’s spoken with farmers who want lawmakers to also focus on crop insurance.
