The USDA says adequate rainfall across Michigan helped improve growing conditions last week.
As of Sunday, 83 percent of winter wheat is harvested, well ahead of the one-year and five-year average.
The state’s corn conditions remained stable with 82 percent of the crop rated in good to excellent condition.
Seventy-two percent of soybeans are rated good to excellent.
Dry bean conditions showed drastic improvement with 79 percent of the crop now rated good to excellent.
