Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange closed lower Wednesday.
July closed 2 cents lower at 16.52; August 26 cents lower at 16.35; Sept, is down 16 cents at 16.50; October down 19 at 17.06.

Dry whey is up 1/4 cent, at $53.25
Blocks unchanged at $1.63 and a half
Barrels down 1 1/2 cents at $1.40
Butter down 1 ¾ cents at $1.62 and 3/4
Nonfat dry milk unchanged at $1.25

For August, the USDA has set the base Class I milk price at $16.90 per hundredweight, down $0.52 from July, with the base Class I skim price at $10.60, down $0.35.
