After the CDC issued a statement saying vaccinated people should wear masks indoors where COVID is again a risk, Governor Kim Reynolds said the new guidance is not grounded in reality or common sense and could lead to mandates across the country. The CDC also said those in K through 12 school buildings should wear masks. Reynolds says she continues to encourage Iowan’s to get the COVID vaccine. Just under 47 percent of the state’s population has been fully vaccinated.
