Central Indiana farmer Mike Beard says his crop conditions have declined slightly because of excess rain.
“In my neck of the woods, we’ve been blessed with water here lately and my soybeans are definitely showing me visually where my drainage needs to go this fall,” he says. “Wet feet in soybeans don’t work very well and they have turned a shade of yellow. For the most part, corn is doing pretty well. We’re looking forward to a little later harvest but a good harvest for corn.
