The Arkansas Department of Agriculture has provided more than $1.7 million to help fund Arkansas fairs this year. More than $700,000 went to county fairs, the Four States Fair, the Arkansas-Oklahoma fair, and the Arkansas State Fair, and more than $1 million was allocated for construction funding for county and district fairs. Arkansas Secretary of Ag Wes Ward says the fairs showcase the state’s largest industry and help Arkansas youth learn more and become involved in agriculture.
