A light direct cash cattle trade is underway.  Deals have been reported in Nebraska at $125 live and $198 dressed.  Most of those deals are marked for delayed delivery.  The South has been quiet.  Asking prices are around $122 plus live in the South and $199 plus dressed in the North.  Look for more business to develop as the day progresses.  Today’s Fed Cattle Exchange had an offering of 6,078 head, there were 1,393 head sold from $118 to $122.
