Arkansas crop development is on pace with recent years.

Thirty-two percent of the corn crop has reached maturity with 74% the dented and 68% rated good to excellent.  Rice is 67% headed, 3% mature, and 67% rated good to excellent.  Cotton is 94% setting bolls with 8% of the bolls opening and 83% of the crop is rated good to excellent.  Eighty-three percent of soybeans are setting pods, with 7% coloring, and 63% of the crop is rated good to excellent.  Peanuts are rated 84% good to excellent with 99% of the crop pegging. 

Hay second cutting is 73% complete and 74% rated good.  Pasture conditions declined this week and are rated 42% good to excellent. 

Topsoil moisture is rated 32% percent adequate to surplus and subsoil moisture is rated 34% adequate to surplus.
