The USDA’s crop condition rating for both corn and soybeans in Illinois improved more than 10 percentage points week over week.
As of Sunday, Illinois soybeans are rated 78% good to excellent compared to 67% the week before and in line with this time last year. 93% of the crop is blooming with 71% setting pods, both slightly ahead of the five-year average.
The state’s corn condition rating reached 79% good to excellent, compared to 68% the week before and 78% at this time last year.
