Farmers say solar lease rates could be on the rise in latest Ag Economy Barometer.
Purdue University’s Jim Mintert says…”it looks like there might be a little bit of a shift with more people telling us that they were offered a rate of greater than $1000 per acre and fewer people telling us they were offered a rate of less than $500 per acre.”
Last month’s barometer found that more producers were interested in leasing farmland for solar energy projects.
