West Central Indiana farmer Kevin Cox says his corn crop has ‘tremendous potential’ after recent timely rains.

“I’ve had conversations with some of my agronomy guys here in the last two or three weeks and they all seem to think that this is going to be one of the very best corn crops we’ve ever produced,” he says.

He tells Brownfield those same rains have been too much of a good thing for his soybeans.

“We’ve got some areas that are showing signs of yellowing and too much excess moisture concerns, but I think we’re going to have a really good bean crop as well.”

Cox farms in Clay and Parke counties.
