Direct cash cattle trade activity is quiet following the week’s light business.  Asking prices for cattle left on showlists are around $123 plus in the South and $200 plus dressed in the North.  It’s likely the bulk of the week’s business has wrapped up for the week.  Deals throughout the week have been around $119 to $125, mostly $121, fully steady with the prior week’s weighted averages.  Northern dressed business has had a full range of $198 to $204, mostly $198, also steady with the previous week’s weighted average basis in Nebraska.
