2021 U.S. oat production will be well below 2020 following a decline in planted area. Weather will also be a factor in some key growing areas, with drought impacting production in parts of the Plains and Midwest.

This year’s oat crop is projected at 41.431 million bushels, compared to 65.355 million a year ago, with an average yield of 57.4 bushels per acre, up fractionally from July but down 7.7 on the year.
