A string of warmer weather and some moisture last week allowed Missouri crops to continue to mature, but they’re still behind schedule.

The latest crop progress report from the USDA shows 82 percent of the corn crop has reached the dough stage compared to the five-year average of 83 percent.  Only 29 percent of the corn has dented compared the average of 45 percent.  Sixty-seven percent of the crop is rated good-to-excellent.

Eighty-four percent of soybeans have bloomed, 2 percent behind the average with 58 percent setting pods.  Soybeans are called 65 percent good-to-excellent.
