A very light direct cash cattle trade is underway. There have been a few deals reported in Nebraska at $200 dressed and $127 live, which are marked for delayed delivery. The rest of cattle country has been quiet. Asking prices are at $123 to $124 live in the South and $202 dressed in the North. Look for more business to develop as the week progresses. Today’s Fed Cattle Exchange had an offering of 3,011 head, there were 1,328 head sold from $121 to $123.
