Hurricane Henri—located in the western Atlantic—could reach or move perilously close to the northern Atlantic Coast by early next week. Coastal and inland communities from New Jersey to Maine will need to monitor Henri’s track and
intensity. Meanwhile, a cold front emerging from the West will continue to edge eastward, delivering drought-easing rainfall in portions of the Plains and upper Midwest. Event-total rainfall could exceed 2 inches or more in parts of the eastern Dakotas and northwestern Minnesota.
