The USDA says dry fields lost some condition ratings last week.

Seventy-one percent of the state’s corn crop is in good to excellent condition. Eighty-seven percent is in the dough stage with 36 percent dented.

Sixty-seven of soybeans are rated good to excellent with 90 percent setting pods.
