Nebraska’s corn crop is behind schedule compared to the 2020 growing season.

According to the USDA’s latest crop progress report, only 41 percent has dented compared to 56 percent last year.  The crop is six percent behind in the dough stage at 80-percent.  Fifty-seven percent is called good-to-excellent.

Four percent of soybeans have dropped leaves, 93 percent have set pods with 69 percent rated good-to-excellent.

Sorghum is rated 56 percent good-to-excellent with 96 percent of the crop headed.
