Direct cash cattle trade is quiet following the light business that took place on Thursday. Buyers and sellers have been in a standoff much of this week. Live deals in Kansas and Texas were around $123, $1 higher than last week’s weighted averages. Dressed business in Nebraska and Iowa was at mostly $202, about $1 higher than last week’s weighted average basis in Nebraska. Look for more trade to develop today. Asking prices are holding at $124 plus live in the South and $205 plus dressed in the North.
