The USDA’s national corn and soybean condition ratings held steady over the past week. Conditions in the Midwest and Plains continue to range from too wet, to too dry, to nearly ideal, with the USDA’s next production estimate out September 10th.

As of Sunday, 60% of U.S. corn is rated good to excellent, unchanged on the week and down 2% on the year, with 91% at the dough making stage, compared to the five-year average of 89%, and 59% of the crop is dented, compared to 55% on average, while 9% has reached maturity, compared to 10% on average.
