The USDA says rain helped some parched Indiana fields, but more would help.

Sixty-nine percent of the state’s corn crop is in good to excellent condition. Ninety-three percent is in the dough stage, 57 percent is dented, and eight percent is mature.

Sixty-six of soybeans are rated good to excellent with 94 percent setting pods and nine percent dropping leaves.
