Minnesota Farm Bureau has created new ways to connect with consumers during the State Fair.

MFB Foundation director Ruth Meirick says they’ve added exhibits to their building on the fairgrounds designed to make an impression on fairgoers in about nine seconds.

“Our exhibits focus mainly on the fact that we want to teach people that agriculture goes beyond the dinner plate and dinner table. It’s about value-added agriculture and all of the things that we use in our daily life that come from agriculture that people might not think of.”

She uses aluminum, fabric softener, soap, and medicine as examples.
