The USDA says rains this past week helped Ohio crops through the recent heat wave.
Seventy-seven percent of the state’s corn conditions is in good to excellent condition. Eighty-seven percent of corn is in the dough stage, 54 percent is dented, and three percent is mature.
Seventy-eight percent of soybeans are rated good to excellent. Ninety-four percent of soybeans are blooming, and 89 percent are setting pods.
