A retired ag teacher is making his 75th straight visit to the Nebraska State Fair holding one of the longest consecutive attendance streaks. “It just became a tradition as a kid and when you start a tradition you just continue that.”
Gerald Dux of Lincoln says he was three months old on his first trip before becoming an exhibitor. “Then (I) became an ag teacher and so then you had to come and see all your students’ livestock and the mechanics projects and the other things they did.
