During the next couple of days, flash flooding will remain a threat in several areas, including the Southwest and an area stretching from the Tennessee Valley to the middle Atlantic States. Rain in the Four Corners States and southern California, which could total 1 to 3 inches or more, will be enhanced by remnant tropical moisture from Hurricane Nora. Meanwhile, rainfall could total 3 to 6 inches or more along the path of former Hurricane Ida.
