Archie Magoulis with the USDA’s Food Safety team says– washing our hands, keeping hot foods hot and cold foods cold, and not cross contaminating – while very important – will not ensure that food on the grill is fully cooked. But a food thermometer will and he’s seeing a positive attitude change about using them.
