Late summer rains have helped green up pastures and revitalize some crops in Minnesota.

The latest weekly crop report from USDA says moisture was fairly widespread and allowed for just over four days of fieldwork.

Crop development has been pushed by heat and dryness all season with 18 percent of corn at maturity, seven days ahead of the five-year average.

Corn harvested for silage, at nearly 50 percent, is also a week faster than normal.
