Direct cash cattle trade is off to a quiet start for the week as buyers and sellers are busy taking inventory.  Bids and asking prices have not been established yet.  Significant trade volume will likely be delayed until midday or later.  Northern dressed business had a full range of $197 to $203, mostly $200 to $203, $1 to $2 lower than the previous week’s weighted average basis in Nebraska.  Southern live business had a full range of $123 to $124, which is steady to $1 higher than the prior week’s weighted averages.
