A Midwestern soybean grower says he’s expecting to harvest one of his top three crops.

Greg Anderson raises continuous soybeans near the North Central Nebraska town of Newman Grove. “Turning the calendar from July 31 to August 31, I don’t think I can recall a time where it looked any better,” Anderson says. “It was just absolutely fantastic. We had no issues, no problems and very little insect pressure.”

He says applying fungicide, an early planting date and late rains were critical for soybean maturity.
