Michigan Farm Bureau is gauging the interest in a tire recycling program through a quick online survey.
Tess Van Gorder says quantifying the number of ag tires and if there is interest would help set the groundwork for establishing a program. She says recycling is also supported by member policy to help reduce ag materials sent to landfills.
Van Gorder recently helped launch a pilot ag plastics recycling hub in mid-Michigan which takes plastics like greenhouse and vegetable film, bale wraps and silage covers.
