The U.S. corn harvest is slightly ahead of the usual pace as soybean harvest activity gets underway.
The USDA says 10% of U.S. corn is harvested, compared to the five-year average of 9%, with 93% of the crop dented, compared to 89% on average, and 57% mature, compared to 47% on average.
59% of corn is rated good to excellent, up 1% on the week.
6% of U.S. soybeans are harvested, matching the typical rate, and 58% are dropping leaves, compared to 48% on average, with 58% good to excellent, 1% higher.
