A farmer in southwest Minnesota has been on the edge of drought most of the growing season.
Chris Hill of Brewster says conditions the past few months have been “very variable.”
“We might get a rain (and) got a rain, drive five miles away and the neighbors got no rain. It was very much hit and miss all through June and July.”
He tells Brownfield a similar pattern seems to be developing as harvest begins.
