Combines and choppers are rolling in many parts of Wisconsin as dry weather allowed easy access for machinery during the past week.
USDA reporters say the state’s corn is 96% dented, with 61% mature. The grain harvest is 5% complete and 80% of corn silage has been harvested. Seventy-six percent of the corn crop is rated good to excellent, which is slightly better than last week.
Nearly all of the state’s soybeans are coloring with 85% dropping leaves.
