The president of the National Association of Wheat Growers is cautioning Congress to be mindful of food security when creating carbon market standards.
Michigan farmer Dave Milligan testified before last week’s House Ag Committee hearing about grower concerns on the emerging sector.
“I think there is some possibility that this could become a problem to food security if some of these programs I hear out there would be forcing reduced production,” he says.
