Cooperative weather last week allowed Illinois farmers ample time for field work including corn and soybean harvest as well as winter wheat planting.
As of Sunday, the USDA says Illinois corn harvest is 21% complete, up 10 percentage points on the week and up three from the five-year average. 83% of the crop is mature and 73% is considered goo to excellent.
Soybean harvest reached 10% complete, up 11 points on the week and in line with average.
