A central Indiana farmer says supply chain issues are already causing some harvest delays.
Jonathan Sparks tells Brownfield they’re kicking off harvest today, but had to make some adjustments to their original plan. “Like half of the country yet, we’re waiting on a piece of equipment to get started on corn,” he says. “But we’re starting on beans today, our early beans are just getting mature. So we’ve got probably about a third of our beans that we can run here in the next week, I think and then I think we’ll probably start knocking some corn out.”
He says the piece of equipment he’s waiting on is a corn head.
