Cash cattle trade is quiet as the week’s business is wrapping up. Asking prices for cattle left on showlists are around $124 plus in the South and $198 plus in the North. Cleanup deals might come through this afternoon. Beef cutouts are expected to close the week lower on light to moderate box movement.

At the Clovis Livestock Auction in New Mexico, compared to last week, steer calves from 500 to 600 pounds sold mixed from $3 lower to $5 higher.
