A southwestern Indiana farmer says there was a slightly rocky start to the harvest season with a new combine and grain leg and pit.
Mark Seib says “we started that process, and everything took off and went extremely well. We were shelling 25 percent corn and I was extremely happy. Five hours into our harvest time we had a problem with the gear box on the grain leg. Someone came over and repaired the gear box, put a new one on, and got us back up to running that night, and we haven’t missed a beat since.”
He tells Brownfield the new combine has been great.
