Southeastern rain will shift eastward, mostly exiting the southern Atlantic Coast by Sunday. However, additional rainfall could total 2 to 4 inches or more from western Florida into the southern Appalachians, leading to flash flooding. Lighter rain (locally exceeding an inch) will spread across the Midwest during the next couple of days, causing brief harvest disruptions. Meanwhile, a Western pattern change will result in cooler conditions and increasingly showery weather.
