The Environmental Protection Agency and Army Corps. of Engineers are calling for regional input on the implications of Waters of the U.S.
EPA says regional roundtables will represent diverse perspectives to help inform the agencies’ development of WOTUS’ definition. Stakeholders can submit nomination letters with a slate of participants that must include voices for agriculture, conservations, developers, drinking water and wastewater management and environmental organizations.
EPA says previous definitions of WOTUS highlighted the regional variability of water resources and the roundtables will provide opportunities to discuss geographic similarities and differences.
