The USDA says late rains slowed harvest in Ohio last week.

Twenty-five percent of the state’s corn crop is harvested, slightly behind the five-year average. Seventy-four percent of the crop is rated good to excellent.

Fifty-four percent of Ohio soybeans are harvested, a little behind the five-year average. Sixty-eight percent of the crop is rated good to excellent.

Northwestern Ohio farmer Todd Hesterman says harvest conditions have been challenging.
