The U.S. Grains Council is building on existing markets while cultivating new export opportunities.
Vice president Kim Atkins tells Brownfield it’s important to have a strong mix of working markets USGC already has access to, while also identifying markets of the future.
“Kind of skate to where the puck is going, as I think Wayne Gretzky once said. So the Council has a pretty broad program.”
She says as USGC has expanded to more than 50 different countries, new doors are being opened through USDA’s recent agriculture trade promotion program funding.
