The U.S. Foreign Ag Service says China will likely see some dairy import increases in 2022 while Japan will not.
In its annual report, the F-A-S office says China’s milk production is expected to increase three percent in 2022. Imports of skim milk powder, cheese, and butter are expected to increase with growing demand. Whey imports and related products are like to decline with forecasted lower infant birth rates and a weakening animal feed sector.
