The U.S. corn and soybean harvests made solid advances last week. Conditions in much of the Midwest and Plains were favorable, but rainfall did impact activity in some areas and there were reports of storm damage in some areas Sunday.
The USDA says 66% of U.S. corn is harvested, compared to 52% last week and the five-year average of 53%, while 73% of soybeans are harvested, compared to 60% a week ago and 70% on average.
