Rising input costs and availability concerns are leaving many farmers in a difficult position as they try to plan for the 2022 growing season.

Ryan Stewart raises corn and soybeans in north central Kansas and says he tracks input prices regularly. “We watch it every day – what the prices of things are and what they may possibility be in the next six months trying to decide what we’re trying to do for fertilizer next spring,” Stewart says.
