It’s been a typically quiet Monday for cash cattle trade. Buyers and sellers seem to be busy taking inventory with bids and asking prices not yet established. This week could follow last week with the bulk of the business taking place on Wednesday with scattered follow-up trading on Thursday and Friday. Beef cutouts might move higher on light box movement by the day’s close.

Boxed beef cutout values are mixed at midday; choice is 43 lower at $286.15 while select is 45 lower at $262.92.
