An agronomist in eastern Kansas and northwest Missouri says they’ve had nearly every kind of weather this growing season which has created a lot of challenges.

“There, right around Easter, we had six, seven inches of snow, if not more in places, with a couple nights in the freezing temps. Then, some really good growing conditions with good sunshine and heat but then we also hit our periods of extreme drought and stress and then some late season rains.”

Brian Green with DeKalb Asgrow says in spite of the weather, yields have been very good in many areas but the disease triangle is in place.
