Tuesday, precipitation intensity will diminish as moisture spreads farther inland across the northern Rockies and southward into central California. At mid-week, the storm will emerge from the Rockies and re-intensify across the nation’s mid-section. As a result, widespread, mid- to late-week rain will occur from the eastern Plains to the Atlantic Seaboard, with storm totals of 1 to 2 inches or more possible in the upper Midwest and the northern Atlantic States.
